Under 16’s Peterborough Basketball League Division 3 Champions

Timeline

July 2014

Talks begin with Ely Flames and Witchford Warriors to merge both clubs to form East Cambs Warriors Basketball club.

August 2014

14th August 2014, East Cambs Warriors officially registered with Basketball England and become the newest basketball club in Cambridgeshire.

October 2014

Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 teams begin their first season in the Norfolk Junior League.

August 2015

Senior team make debut this season. Bringing the total number of teams in the Warriors clan to 4 (Under14/Under16/Under18/Senior).

February 2016

Under 16 team are crowned Peterborough Basketball League Division 3 Champions, with a perfect 6-0 record for the 2015-2016 season. This is the clubs first ever title and silverware.

May 2016

Three junior players for the warriors selected to play for the Cambridgeshire and Norfolk County teams and Under 13 and Under 17 ages. Lucas Everett-Green selected for the Norfolk under 13 team. Alex Needham and Max Watts selected for the Cambridgeshire Under 17 team.

Junior coach Hayden Brown became assistant coach to the Cambridgeshire Under 13 team.

June 2016

Monday 6th June 2016 – First ever training session of the new female team at the club – East Cambs Amazons.

June 2017

Launch of the Under 12 team.

September 2017

Megan Kolici and Sarah Pollard from the East Cambs Amazons selected to the Norfolk County Pathway.

June 2018

East Cambs Basketball, Warriors and Amazons get rebranded, a new website and move to a new location based at the Hive in Ely
